Eat Your Way To Gorgeous Skin
One of the best things I do for my skin is eat plenty of raw foods.
Why raw? Well, your body needs enzymes in order to fully digest food and utilize its wonderful nutrients. However, it only has a limited supply of these hard working enzymes. You get the rest from raw vegatables and fruits, which are very high in excellent enzymes.
Heating these foods above 40.5 C (105 degrees F) destroys enzymes, and also destroys over 70% of the food's vitamin and mineral content. Not only are most cooked foods less nutritious, but they are also more difficult to digest.
Cooked foods also pass through your body more slowly since they lack enzymes that are needed for assimilation and elimination. That means your digestive and elimination systems can become clogged with partially digested food or food wastes, which collect and ferment in the millions of tiny folds in your gut lining. Yuck!
All this means poor circulation of nutrients to, and waste from the cells of your skin. Symptoms of poor digestion and a clogged system include sallow skin colour, eruptions, large greasy pores, rough skin texture, and puffy, baggy eyes, as well as bloating, gas and tiredness.
For the sake of your skin and to slow down aging, get all the vitamin and minerals you need with plenty of raw foods which are full of enzymes, such as pineapple, bean sprouts and papaya. Theyll not only nourish your skin; theyll also scrub your system clean of waste buildup. Youll look and feel revitalized!
